about us
The Fulton County Schools Fine Arts Department supports more than 400 music, theatre arts, and visual arts teachers and 94,000 students within its K-12 programs. The Performing Arts division is lead by nearly 200 music educators and music therapists who support one of the nation's most frequently recognized "best communities for music education."
Fine arts instruction in the Fulton County Schools is standards-driven, sequential, substantive and comprehensive. Every elementary school student receives weekly art and music classes.

Middle school students receive visual art and theatre as options for quarterly Connection courses and music students have year long band, orchestra and choral programs. At the high school level there are several fine arts elective choices that fulfill the GA Career Pathway requirements and culminate in five Advanced Placement courses.

The Music and Performing Arts team is lead by Dr. David W. Vandewalker and an outstanding team of Fine Arts Support Teachers. Betsy Eppes collaborates with the team as the Visual Arts Coordinator and Carlos Rodriguez serves as the Professional Assistant for the FCS Fine Arts Department.
